Elegia Sezer

I grew up in the Kyrgyz mountains and have lived in Istanbul for twenty years. I paint 16th century Iznik tiles and patterns by hand, read old books, travel slowly and try to pay attention to small things.

Istanbul Workshops

My workshops bring Ottoman ceramic tradition into small, slow afternoons in Istanbul, where guests paint their own tile to take home. Karaköy, by the Golden Horn. Up to 3 guests, 3 to 4 hours. Beginners are welcome.
